"In the beginning of October, Total paid for us (along with 16 other expats) to go to Yogyakarta on Java, for an 'Introduction to Total and Indonesia'. Losely translated, this meant an all expenses paid trip out of Balikpapan, for 3 days, with opportunities to go sight-seeing and shopping in Jakarta. The only drawback was that we had to sit and listen to a few presentations. In French. Well, it didn't seem too much of a hardship.Yogyakarta wasn't particularly interesting, but not far from the city are two magnificent temples...."

Borobudur is the world's biggest Buddhist temple, built in about 700-800AD.

Unfortunatley, the foundations weren't any good, and so the temple was neglected for many years...
