"It's not everyday a girl turns 30, especially a newly-discovered-mum-to-be, and so serious celebrations are required! I had already told Alex that there was no way I would be celebrating in Balikpapan, and so off we went to Singapore.

Alex even broke with tradition, and bought me a beautiful gold and diamond ring (well, he paid for it: I had to trawl Balikpapan to have it made, but hey - the thought was there!)

	We spent a leisurely day walking through the Botanical Gardens in Singapore....
...And the evening eating the finest food we could find - at Raffles Hotel.

The only drawback to an otherwise perfect day, was not being able to celebrate with a glass (or three) of champagne, but having to drink perrier water (at six pound per bottle!)"
