By the time I made it back to Singapore, I was ready for a wee rest, and with Sophie arriving at the same time to organise her Indonesian Visa, we managed to grab three days of holiday.
Perhaps holiday is not the best word. The first two days were spent catching up on three months of shopping. Singapore has all the shops we have dreamed about for the last three months - Marks and Spencers, Starbucks, HMV - even a grocery store were all eagerly visited! The evenings were spent sampling the night life with the help of a Singapore Sling or two (what else!)

The final day was spent on Sentosa, a small island off Singapore with water rides, monorail and several ways of relaxing and spending money. We ended up on a tandem for an hour, and don't ask Sophie about the water ride we tried - she still has the scars all along her body!! |

The day finished with a journey back from the island by cable car, and then the long trip back to reality. The next day we were back home in Balikpapan where Marks and Spencers is just a faint dream....
.....till next time!"
